Poor Ethan has been hit bad with this flu virus that's going around. It started as just a runny nose and we though "heh, no big deal. It will run its course and be over soon." Then, Sunday night he was laid low with a fever of 102.3 and his runny nose formed into a very yucky (seal like) cough. I thought for sure he had the croup cough, but we went to the Dr. today and its not croup. The Doctor said both his ears have wax and water build up from being so congested and so he had to have them flushed. He did not like that.
We got some medicine to help him sleep at night and to keep him from coughing so much and then some ear drops to dry the liquid in his ears out. He has to go back on Thursday for a check-up, to make sure his ears are healing properly. He's been out of sorts, due to being so sick. We take lots of rests throughout the day and he is getting to watch more TV than normal. :) Tonight he saw Peter Pan for the very first time! Its been harder trying to keep Rachel far enough away from him, but I'm doing my best because I do not want her to get it next. What's going to happen some day when we have our 10 kids and one of them gets sick?? Oh yeah, it will be a hospital sick ward around here. Haha... I'm so funny, I know. :)
Other than being sick, we're having a good week. Its been crazy busy with the Thomas kids in town, but we've also had our nice, relaxing moments as well. Hope you're all enjoying this COLD weather! -Stef
