Welcome to our new layout! We're glad you've stopped by for a visit. We're enjoying life as God gives it, feeling so very blessed by His goodness to us. Our vacation officially starts on Saturday (or, Friday night when Jase walks through the door), but the actual going away part is Monday morning, until the end of the week. For this reason, you won't be hearing from us until around November 1st. Jason might post a thing or two before Monday morning rolls around, but I won't be able to.
Our weekend looks to be a busy one, with the softball game, a baby shower, family party in Livermore, a friend of ours from Livermore is going to be staying Saturday night at our house and spending Sunday with us and then Monday... we leave!!
So... I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and week ahead. Please pray that our vacation will go smoothly; safe travels, good health and just an overall, that it would be incredibly blessed by God. We have a couple tape series we're looking forward to listening to in the car- One on marriage and one on raising children. We also have the book War of Words that we've been wanting to read together and we're excited to be able to get to do that while we're away. Its so nice to step away from it all and enjoy the blessings God has given to us in each other.

Wow, a vacation, what's that like? 8 years of marriage and 3.5 kids later and we have yet to do a vacation. We hear they are nice. :-)
We loved the "War Of Words" book, one of Tripp's best books. It is a little hard to read at times, but just get through those chapters and it will be worth it! Have fun on your trip and fun reading Tripp. Ha ha! I am so funny.

haha, trip and Tripp... I get it! :) Now that you mention it, the War of Words book is by him and so is the Shepherding a Child's Heart CD set. I can't remember who wrote the marriage one, but I know its not him.
No vacation? Even just the two of you? Bring your kids here, we'll take care of them and you two get away before #4 arrives! Its so vital that we get away as couples. I'm assuming you meant all 5 of you haven't been away together.
Its getting harder and harder these days, with expenses food, gas, lodging, etc... we have been SO blessed during this vacation prep to have met such a nice lady that's giving us an incredible discount to stay in her beautiful beach front home and bringing most of our food will cut the cost way down on eating. Monterey also has a lot of cheap or free entertainment as well, so that will be helpful. We'll share pictures when we return!
Yes, Jill - I noticed the weather is supposed to be in the high 70's and around 80 all week. Praise God!

We had dinner at Pick-up-Sticks tonight and this is what our fortune cookies said.
Jason's: "A much needed vacation is just around the corner."
Stef's: "You will soon be rewarded for all your hard work."
My first thought? "God indeed has a sense of humor." :)
