On Tuesday, the kids and I went with a play group to a cherry picking farm, here in Brentwood. We had SO much fun! I can't remember the last time I went and picked any kind of fruit (I want to say I was possibly younger than the age of 10). I got the biggest kick out of seeing Ethan and Rachel enjoying themselves so much. They were too young to climb the ladders to the top of the trees, but they very much enjoyed watching me do it. Ethan kept cheering me on and saying "Yay Mommy! You're doing it and you're NOT falling!!"
I would say the hardest part about the trip was reminding Ethan that whatever he picked, we had to buy. He had such an eye for the ones that weren't ripe yet. We ended up with 5 pounds of delicious, plump cherries. Rachel and I ate way too many of them on the first day and we paid for it on day two. Cherries are probably my favorite fruit, so I've had a hard time resisting them. I didn't get any pictures. Our old camera wouldn't work for me that day and it was a few hours before I bought the new one.
You'll have to take my word for it - we had a fantastic time!
Sounds like a grat outing.Submitted by bartokg on Sun, 2008-05-25 09:50.

I did read it, just after posting this! I feel terrible for her. I left a comment, but I'm unable to see other people's comments on her site... for some reason. I can't imagine the horror that would have been on my face. :-\
I told her they can sell us a few pounds - we love them!
