This blog is gonna be about our family day out and also added in will be Rachel's 11 month update. Aaahhh!! Did I just say 11 months? Yes... I did. It goes by fast.
She is turning into a very big girl these days. Its almost like they know they're just around the corner from turning one year. She's as cute as ever, in our opinion and a little bundle of chub love.
I'm very happy with how well she eats - even out doing her brother from time to time! She loves big girl food and hates (which is an understatement) jarred baby food. Her favorite foods right now are raviolis, avocados, yogurt, homemade macaroni with ground turkey meat and spaghetti. Yes, she's Italian.
She's sleeping through the nights now most nights of the week, waking up once on some nights. She still drinks a full 6 ounce bottle when she wakes up those nights, so I continue to give it. Just today it seems like she's decided to start walking! She has been standing up and moving around the house by holding onto furniture and is SO proud of herself. She does well until she starts clapping for herself and then falls over. She enjoys swimming in the pool (with the floaty of course) and loves to watch the other kids splash around and play. She also, like her brother, loves to play outside. We cannot wait for our backyard to be done so the kids can go out and play for hours and hours. They both hate being in doors.
Other than that... she's doing well! She's a bundle of joy to our family and my little love bug. Its amazing to me how much that huge amount of love that you feel the second you meet your child, grows so much as they grow.
In other news (haha) we had a fun family outing today in Walnut Creek. We were supposed to be at a wedding this weekend, but stayed home due to me getting over being sick (and not sure if the kids were contagious) and Jase had an extremely busy work week (logged 65 hours of work this week!). So, we thought the best thing was to stay local this weekend. We needed to go to Walnut Creek to return some thing and Ethan's request was that we ride the BART train there... so we did. He had a blast! He sees the train and starts waving and screaming "Hi BART train!!" We even had tears when we had to get off the train.
We had a blast in Walnut Creek. It ended up being a very relaxing, fun family outing. We did lots of walking, sight seeing and went into some fun stores. We ate lunch at Fresh Choice and I think that's become E's favorite restaurant. Our kids ate free, so it ended up being a great deal. After lunch we went to the koi pond that my parents told us about and Ethan loved that. He likes fish a lot and enjoyed watching them swim around. We came home in time to see Sean (our landscaper) working on the yard - Ethan was overjoyed to see him using the Bobcat "tractor" at OUR house.
I've already uploaded pictures from our day today (I know, shocker!) and uploaded a few others from this week and tonight after we got home. For those of you who have asked or don't know... the photos you see on the left are just a preview of what's been uploaded. If you want to see ALL the pictures that have been recently uploaded, you need to click on the "photos" link and you can see them in the June 2007 folder, along with comments. Hope that helps. Also, we will be taking pictures of our house and uploading those soon - thanks to my friend Brooke for reminding me.
Enjoy and have a wonderful new week!
